Secondary French Immersion – Grade 11

Authentic tasks, scaffolding instruction, explicit teaching, descriptive feedback, and small group oral work are key elements in developing skills in spontaneous oral interaction. The teacher comments that teaching and assessment practices have been influenced by the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) – a tool that promotes the development of relevant, interactive communication skills, and learner autonomy through self-assessment and goal-setting.
