This resource: Harmonisation des travaux d’élèves en français langue seconde (FLS) is the result of the collaboration of twelve school boards in Ontario. These boards engaged in rich discussions during the moderation of student written and oral tasks based on Ontario FSL curricula. The goal of this resource is to support FSL educators to develop a common understanding of student proficiency levels in writing and in oral communication. Both resources include a guide to help boards who wish to replicate or adapt this project locally, as well as four booklets, organized by CEFR levels, with written work or audio samples at various levels of proficiency. The booklets include on-demand written and oral tasks, rubrics based on the achievement chart, justifications for the levels assigned and next steps that describe possible teacher actions to help students improve.
