SUMMARY:FSL Virtual Learning Series 2025: Assessment and Evaluation in French Programs
DESCRIPTION:This workshop explores effective assessment and evaluation practices in Ontario French as a Second Language (FSL) programs\, grounded in key frameworks such as Growing Success\, The Ontario Curriculum\, and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Participants will examine the principles of assessment for\, as\, and of learning\, and engage with strategies for triangulating data through observations\, conversations\, and products. Through collaborative activities and discussions\, educators will reflect on how to differentiate assessment to meet diverse learner needs and ensure equity\, diversity\, and inclusion in FSL classrooms. Attendees will leave with practical tools and ideas to design meaningful\, inclusive\, and curriculum-aligned assessment practices. \nHosted by Latoya Labine.
